With all the confusion surrounding the new breast cancer guidelines, I’m trying to give you as much information as possible to help you prevent this killer disease. Today, I’ve got great news about a nutrient once thought to encourage cancer.
That’s right! Several years ago there was a controversy surrounding this nutrient and prostate cancer. There was a study that suggested it might be associated with more cancer. It made big news. Even my alternative-minded peers debated the news.
I was cautious in my analysis. I felt that the study was flawed for not looking at the sources of the nutrient. I maintained that the study used processed and/or synthetic alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) instead of ALA from natural whole foods. I just could not see how an omega-3 fatty acid required for reducing inflammation and healthy cell membranes could raise cancer risk. Well, now there’s a report that suggests I was right.
