The American Heart Association
and American Stroke Association recently developed a list of foundational ways
to promote heart health, which they’ve dubbed Life’s Simple 7. The seven steps
are: 1. Manage your blood pressure, 2. Keep your cholesterol under control, 3.
Keep your blood sugar in a healthy range, 4. Exercise, 5. Eat a healthy diet,
6. Maintain a healthy weight, and 7. Don’t smoke.
