The common protein that attacks your brain
I've told you in the past about the myriad of disease symptoms that can result from gluten sensitivity. Gluten is a complex protein found in grains like wheat, barley, rye, oats, and spelt. For some people, it wipes out intestinal cells. They get a bad digestive disease that is really miserable.
For years doctors thought that gluten caused only gut problems (celiac disease). Recently they have discovered that gluten can attack skin, joints, muscles, and organs. Now research is clearly showing that gluten can attack your brain absent ANY other signs or symptoms.
Gluten can cause ataxia (central nervous system balance and muscle coordination problems). There is a test that might pick up the problem. Your doctor will know it as the transglutaminase 6 antibodies test. However, a negative test for any gluten evaluation doesn't rule out the problem.
I have a rule of thumb. If you have any unexplained condition, eliminate gluten and dairy for at least four weeks. If it relieves your symptoms, that's a good sign that food is part of the problem. Gluten is in all wheat-containing processed foods. So make sure you avoid all of these.

I'm pleased to tell you that Advanced Bionutritionals has formulated a product that might reduce sensitivity to gluten. It can be difficult to totally avoid gluten, even if trying, since it could appear in many prepared foods without your knowledge. Taking one with a meal might offer significant protection from this hidden health hazard. You can read more about it here.
