How to make your probiotics work even better

I hope you're taking probiotics regularly. These beneficial germs are great for your intestinal health. But did you know you can make your probiotics work even better? All you have to do is give them a friendly environment to live. And that's a lot easier than you might think.

In a study on rats, apple and apple products containing pectin help provide short-chain fatty acids. Probiotics love beneficial microbes.

But that's not all the apple pectin does. It also helps intestinal pH. By keeping your pH in balance, you create a healthy environment for the probiotics to live and do their job.

An apple a day does help keep the "conventional" doctor away. If you're taking probiotics, consider apples to keep your microbe buddies happy.
