Stop the statin madness
How many more studies have to be done before the FDA finally takes statin drugs off the market?
These drugs are making Big Pharma billions, but they completely violate the fundamental rule of medicine, “First do no harm.” They cause muscle wasting in everyone who takes them. I have been reporting to you for years that they cause brain damage, especially in the vulnerable crowd over 60 years old. They are also known to cause liver damage in certain susceptible people. Now the latest information is that they cause diabetes.
Just this past month, the FDA ordered all statin drugs to carry warnings about the increased risk of diabetes and brain dysfunction. According to the FDA, statin drugs can damage the brain to the extent that it impairs memory and thinking. The new FDA rulings came on the heels of a review of the JUPITER study. This review showed that the patients who take statin drugs had a 27% increase in diabetes compared to the lucky ones who got the placebo.

You might remember that just recently I told you about the review of the JUPITER study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine. That review exposed the statin myth. According to that study, there is absolutely no advantage (except for Big Pharma sales) to drugging healthy people with statins just because they have high cholesterol readings. The cholesterol readings come down, but the risk of dying from a heart attack doesn’t change at all. So why take them?
So if you have never had a heart attack and your doctor has prescribed a statin drug for you simply because your cholesterol is high, here is my advice. Stop taking it now and throw the rest away. There is no advantage to taking it, and there are some very significant damaging side effects you will get if you don’t.
Instead of wasting your time taking drugs, do the one proven thing that will prevent not only heart attacks but every other disease — exercise. Refer to my past alerts and newsletter issues that detail how to exercise properly. You don’t need to kill yourself to get the best results. If you want, get a copy of Al Sear’s book, “PACE — The 12 Minute Fitness Revolution.” He echoes my recommendations. Then get yourself in shape. If that doesn’t lower your cholesterol and you’re concerned about it, take Advanced Cholesterol Formula to get your numbers down without any side effects.
