A new twist to my prostate
treatment regimen
Last week, I told you about a patient whose PSA was rising and his doctor recommended he see an oncologist for a biopsy. When he asked me if he should go through with it, I said, “Absolutely not!” Then I gave him a plan for lowering his PSA and destroying any cancer he might have.
The first thing I tell anyone at high risk of cancer is that they must exercise regularly, drink plenty of water, and get to bed early. These are the foundation for great health – and fighting cancer.
Then I tell them to take several different supplements. The first is Advanced Prostate Formula (two tablets, twice a day). Next, take enough vitamin D3 to get your blood levels up in the high 30% of the reference range (usually 5,000 IU daily or more). Third, take Complete Daily Oils fish oil capsules every day. These are vital for a healthy prostate. Every man over 50 should be taking this regimen.

From there, I recommend taking iodine in the form of Iodoral, 50 mg once a day (available on the Internet). Add to this 3 mg of melatonin every night before bed.
That used to be the bulk of my regimen. But now, I’ve added another piece that’s really important. You need to go on a strict vegetarian diet.
This may surprise you, as I’m not a vegetarian, nor do I recommend it for everyone. But I do think a vegetarian diet has distinct advantages for a rising PSA. First, it’s a great way to reduce inflammation, a major cause of prostate problems, including a high PSA.
Second, when fighting any cancer, it is a great idea to avoid all animal protein for the first six to eight weeks. After that, you can add in a very small amount. Continue with a very low animal protein intake until you have the cancer well controlled. There is a very specific reason for this.
Studies have shown that when you have two groups of animals, one on an animal protein diet and the other on a vegan diet, the vegan group holds up much better when you exposed it to toxins. This is because animal protein burdens the liver and decreases the liver’s ability to detoxify. Ordinarily this is not a problem. But when fighting a disease like cancer, since there is so much toxicity associated with it, it becomes a very good idea to do as much as possible to help the liver to detoxify. And it really helps. I’ve seen great results with my cancer patients.
Once you start on this regimen, check your PSA every month for the next year. If you’re like the majority of my patients in this situation, you’ll find that your PSA drops. Or, at the very least, it stops rising. In either event, you can stop worrying about both your condition and the treatment for it. There really is no need for a biopsy.
