Is this healthy bathroom activity poisoning you?

Most people have never heard of the chemical triclosan. Even fewer realize it’s extremely common in their bathrooms. But almost no one knows that this common chemical has been poisoning them for decades.

The FDA made international news when it announced its concerns about the chemical. Triclosan is a chlorinated organic chemical in sanitizers, soaps, and even toothpaste. The manufacturers of these products have added the chemical to their products for decades.

Triclosan is a very reactive chlorinated phenol compound. Research suggests that it can combine with chlorine in your water supply to generate chloroform, a known carcinogen. And it can degrade to extremely toxic dioxins.

The first step toward eliminating alternative medicine

As you may know, I don’t like to talk politics. There are others who can deal with the politics of medicine better than I can. I just stay with what I know — how to help people get better. But today I am urging all of my readers to do all they can to stop ObamaCare. I believe that ObamaCare is just the first step toward eliminating access to alternative medicine. This is already happening in Canada, and it is likely to happen here unless you do all you can in Tuesday’s election to stop it.

Why airline food can make you sick....

With the holiday season coming on fast, you might be looking at plane reservations for your travels to see family. If you are, I suggest you think twice before buying any food on the airplane.

While our notorious FDA turns the other cheek at Pharma’s mayhem, it occasionally does something right. FDA inspectors report finding live roaches in airline caterers. Many facilities store food at improper temperatures, use unclean equipment, and employ workers with poor hygiene habits.

Roy Costa, a consultant and public health sanitarian officer expressed concern that a bad problem is now much worse. Food-borne disease outbreaks from airplane food might not be a matter of “if” but “when.”
