Once Lisa told me about her frustration, I asked her whether she skipped meals or not. She said she did. So I used Bio-Energy Testing to show her why this is a big mistake.
When Lisa came into the clinic in the morning for her test, she was fasting. I have everybody do that because it’s important for accurately measuring the metabolic rate. She measured out at 74%. That means her metabolism was 74% of what it should be. No wonder she was finding it hard to lose weight!
Right after her test, I told her to go and eat a small meal. Then come right back for another test in an hour and a half. I did the second test about 40 minutes after she finished eating. Amazingly, her metabolism skyrocketed up to 130%. That’s almost double what it was before the meal! Lisa was shocked. She had heard that eating raises the metabolism. But she had no idea that it could actually double it!
Lisa’s case is not unusual at all. I have done this several times, and each time I see the same results. Simply eating a small meal increases your metabolism by 50% to 100%. So if you’re having trouble controlling your weight, keep this in mind. Spread your food intake over the course of the day, such that you are eating a little something every two to three hours, rather than eating the usual three square meals a day. That way you will boost your metabolism all day long. It’s definitely a “must-do” for weight control. And it’s easy and you don’t have to buy anything.
