Take this to avoid dying
of heart failure

Did you know that if you're over the age of 65, you have about a one-in-eight chance of suffering from heart failure? This deadly condition contributes to over 300,000 deaths each year. But you can take one supplement to greatly reduce your risk of ever having heart failure.

A recent study followed 236 patients with chronic heart failure. The researchers discovered that the patients' level of CoQ10 in their plasma was an independent predictor of mortality. They followed the patients for an average 2.7 years. Their median CoQ10 levels during that time were 0.68 mumol/l. That's much lower than the optimal level of 0.73.

How strong was CoQ10 as a mortality predictor? The researchers found that low CoQ10 plasma levels can double your risk of death!

If you have heart failure, you could get your plasma CoQ10 measured. However, considering the expense, and the probability that you are not at optimum levels, I would bypass the test and take a CoQ10 supplement for the rest of your life. But don't take just any CoQ10. I now recommend ubiquinol, a superior form of Co10. You can buy it from Advanced Bionutritionals in combination with other key mitochondrial supporting nutrients (alpha lipoic acid and carnitine).

Incidentally, this study appeared in a major American cardiology journal in 2008. Since then, I've treated a lot of patients who were seeing a cardiologist. And not one of those cardiologists had placed these patients on CoQ10, even if they were taking statins. Statins allegedly reduce heart attack deaths. But by lowering CoQ10, statins may cause more heart failure-related deaths. These cardiologists are guilty of malpractice in my book.
