|This is a story about a terrible problem. One that is becoming increasingly common. And one that we can cure with a natural, easy, safe, and inexpensive solution. The problem is called bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ).
BRONJ is a condition in which the bones of the jaw disintegrate. The result is that the teeth fall out and the jaw bones collapse. This leaves open wounds in the gums with pieces of bone coming out. What a horrible thing to happen in your mouth. And to make matters worse, there is no acceptable treatment for it that can restore the bones. That is until now.
The cause of BRONJ is the use of bisphosphonate drugs, which doctors prescribe to treat osteoporosis and bone cancers. The most common ones are Actonel, Fosamax, Zometa, Boniva, and Aredia. Doctors give the drugs as pills or as intravenous infusions. The most dangerous form is the intravenous form.
Researchers at the National Cancer Institute of Milan in Italy recently reported on a study to see if ozone therapy could help patients who had BRONJ. Here's what they did.
They looked at 10 patients with BRONJ. None of the patients were responding at all to the conventional treatments. They first cleaned out the exposed wounds with an ultrasonic scaler. Then they did something unbelievably simple. Every day for 10 days they applied ozonated oil to each wound for 10 minutes. The results were amazing.
The authors reported, "In all patients, mucosal lesions resolved with complete reconstitution of oral and jaw tissue, with 3-10 applications. They didn't report any toxicity. None of the patients required surgical intervention. In two patients with pre-and post-treatment X-rays, no residual bone lesions were observed after treatment."
What? A treatment that is natural, safe, and effective in a severe condition in which nothing else works? That ought to be on the evening news for sure. But don't hold your breath. The problem is that ozonated oil is cheap, and you can't get a patent on it. You can buy enough to treat 100 patients for less than it costs to go to a professional football game.
At the last annual meeting of the American Academy of Ozonotherapy we had one of our dental members report on the similar success he has had treating BRONJ with ozone. And this year, we are going to learn more about the extraordinary ways that dentists can use ozone. Dentists can learn more about the next academy meeting at the academy website www.aaot.us. I am blessed to have a dentist in my area that uses ozone.
If you are at risk for osteoporosis, don't submit to taking these drugs. Instead, take plenty of vitamin D, vitamin K, and the nutrients in Ultimate Bone Support. You can avoid osteoporosis without these bone-destroying drugs.
